FAQ’s

Being a small brand we have the ability to make product unlike others on the market.  We provide an all-natural, better-for-you cookie dough.  We are proud to be changing the way Britain’s bake and love answering any questions you have about Doughlicious.

Here are the top questions

Why doesn’t my cookie spread as much as others?

Firstly, we use real, natural ingredients and an oat flour, which give it a decadent, rich texture. Secondly, we recommend baking at a lower temperature (160 C) so the cookie dough has a chance to spread slowly as the cookies bakes. Oven temperatures do vary, so if 160 C seems too low for your oven, we recommend baking at 170 C. If you like a flatter cookie, you can press the pucks down with the heel of your hand or spatula prior to baking to enable spreading further. Personally, we love the homemade look and taste of a fuller cookie as its a nice contrast of a crispy top and chewy inside.

How do I know my cookies are ready?

It’s sometimes harder to tell if our cookies are done due to the unique colours. What you should be looking for are a puffed-up centre and light golden brown edges. If you like a softer, gooey cookie (like Kathryn), slightly under-bake because as the cookies cool on the baking sheet they continue to firm-up. If you like a crispier cookie, bake for a few more minutes until the entire cookie is a dark golden brown. Check out our baking gif for a how-to guide.

Why does the packaging say “may contain traces of nuts”?

All our cookies are made in a factory that has a designated area for Doughlicious.  The area is always cleaned after production of each flavour.  However, there is the small chance that small traces could be left in the machine.  We do everything possible to prevent this cross contamination.
